Had you asked this before reaching 1000 posts, I can't see that there'd've been a problem.

I am assuming that you've read Blade's post on this topic and appreciate that this request will be considered on its merits.

At the moment, so far as I can see, you are saying that you rashly chose a pseudonym - from which you cannot be identified unless you post personal details about yourself - and now wish for off-topic comment regarding that name to cease. One of the rules regarding name changes is that for a period of time afterwards you have to show your old screen name in the location part of your profile.

The matter can be considered by moderators generally and we will get back to you before the end of the month. Should a rash of similar requests appear, the chances are that the answer(s) will be in the negative.
