XC Newsletter
<h1><a href="http://www.xcritic.com">XCritic Newsletter</a></h1>
With the split off to XCritic the Blue Room Newsletter has moved to a new mailing service. Over at XC we just sent out a note to everyone who had previously subscribed to the Blue Room newsletter, anyone who opted in to the newsletter from an adult giveaway or opted in at the new XC Forum.
If for some reason you got this notice and DON'T want the newsletter. There's a quick 1 click unsubscribe at the bottom of it.
The LAST thing we want is for someone to get it who doesn't want it.

I unsubscribed from it, but I don't understand why I was subscribed in the first place.
I get the DVDTalk newsletter but I never signed up for the Blue Room one or entered an adult giveaway. Was I sent one simply because I signed up for the DVDTalk newsletter?

I haven't joined the forum either, and still got it. Very annoying to get spam like this for no reason...and the unsubscribe takes you to a shady looking site.

Sounds like maybe something got confused and it sent the e-mail to many unintended addresses. At least the e-mail was innocuous (IMO) and hopefully the unsubscribe worked as well as it seemed to.

We're using Feedblitz for the newsletter and their unsub is immediate. I'll look into why you may heave gotten on the list if you hadn't intended. Everything was pulled from the XC forum/db/etc nothing here.

Please tell me they didn't magically get my e-mail address out of me simply browsing the forum.

Since this is really an XCritic issue I'm closing this thread hear, and further discussion had be done over at the XC Feedback forum:
