Errors trying to reply

I'm trying to reply to Movielib's global warming thread in Other and it's giving me some issues. I'm pasting (and linking) and commenting on a long article by Orson Scott Card but even though it's a nice chunk of text, I get two error messages:
1. Both Subject and Message boxes must be filled out. [I've tried this]
2. There must be more than 3 characters in the message box [there're thousands so I'm not sure what's up]

thanks.

Not sure about the subject/message error message. If your comments are outside of the quote tags I can't see why the software wouldn't register that you'd added more than three characters of new text.

How about first adding the comments. Then go back to the new post you have created and edit to paste in the external quote.
