Videogame Talk Format

It seems to me that this area (shown below) on the forum is way outdated.

Maybe the price search section should be replaced with links to the top stories at the main site http://www.videogametalk.com/ . Anyone else have any ideas?

If this is not the right forum for this topic move it to the feedback forum.

I've been wondering the same thing for months. A gamecube link at the top? Come on. Woefully outdated.

My guess is that it's a google thing... but moving to feedback regardless.

It's not Google, at least not edstein's issue. He's talking about the VG Logo and links at the top being kind of bland and maybe in need of sprucing up now that VG Talk has its own front page with news updates etc.

Corvin is looking at the Google (or price search) ad thing though, as that's where the Gamecube link is.

I think the game reviews and game deals links need to stay but the "Top Price Search Games" is just showing old data. Most people on the forum are looking for PS3, Wii, DS and Xbox 360 games and accesories. Not PS2, Gamecube, Xbox and Gameboy Advance stuff.

Did you not read what Josh Hinkle said? He said that your issue was with the "VG Logo and links at the top being kind of bland and maybe in need of sprucing up," and that it didn't have anything to do with the Gamecube stuff.

I'd love to know what you guys are talking about but that god damned HD ad is STILL COVERING THE MIDDLE OF POSTS.

Oh, so I guess he was talking about the lame giant google ad. My bad.

Since he said price search I though he meant the links at the top.

My suggestion would be to get rid of the ad, and put a small section with links to the latest 2 or 3 stories on VG talk up there. I never visit the front page (to many superior gaming sites out there) but I may read the occasional piece that interests me if I see a link to it at the top of the forum.

I know the Video Game Talk forum needs some TLC. I'll see what we can do. In the mean time I'll shuffle some things around so the middle isn't an outdated top price search list.

Looks good. I've actually clicked on the price search ad many many times but the products were always out of stock.
