Photography Forum?

Any reason why we don't have a forum for photography? A thread in the HD section started to get into cameras and it seems like at least a few people have interst in it. I'd be nice to have a place to share pics, camera suggestions, and picture taking tips.

Point and shoot. Any monkey can do that and make a great shot.

Except peddy.

I don't think there's enough interest. Generally, sub-forums spring out of an over-abundance of threads on a particular topic, and I don't see that happening with photography.

I'd be in total favor of a photography forum.

Do a search in the "Other Forum" for the 2-3 photography threads. One is 'official', one is more 'amatuer', and the 3rd is a discussion about DLSRs.

I agree with Groucho. There doesn't seem to be an interest.

Maybe some of the photo savvy people here can recommend a good photography forum?

I say yes to a photography forum. It's time that Book Talk gave up its claim as "Most Ignored Forum".

I also think we're long overdo for a photography forum. Other forums we're also long overdo for:

Hat Forum
Tandem Bicycle Forum
AIDS Forum
Movie Forum
Roman Forum
Jesse Owens Forum
Diggstown Forum

I'm concerned with too many sub forums. So I appreciate the suggestion, but I don't think this is something we'd add in the near future.

If anything, this would work better if vBulletin had something like a tagging system. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Kyanka">Richard Kyanka</a>'s site (which we can't link to here) runs of vB 2.2.9 and has a tagging/filtering system. For example, imagine going into Other and seeing filters for:

Photography
Real Estate
Relationships
eBay

etc.

Click on the filter and all those threads appear and/or disappear.

However, those are in place because that forum is extremely active: right now there are 50 threads in one subforum that have had replies in the past hour. It's there out of necessity, not convenience.

Just some food for thought.

I clicked on this link thinking the OP said "Pornography Forum"

What do you think was going through my head when I read:

"I'd be nice to have a place to share pics, camera suggestions, and picture taking tips."
