threads not showing up as read after I read them?

for some reason every single thread is marked as having a new post(bold print) even though some haven't had anything posted in them for weeks. this started yesterday for me. is there a way I can mark all threads as read as its really hard to keep track of whats new or not when they never loose the "unread" boldness?

example; I jump into the HD Talk forum and the entire first page of threads is in bold. I can read say 3 threads yet they never lose the bold afterwards. then there are those threads where the last post in it was say 12-9 but yet it is bold as if there is a new post.

it is like this in every single subforum on the site. how can I fix this?

Me too. And the stickies stay showing as unread even through today.

I made a modification that should mean that only stickies stay bold all the time. Is it effecting more than just stickies?

It seemed to me that everything showed as unread at first yesterday, but that could have been just the stickies and new threads/ones with new responses showing up as bold after I closed my browser, I don't remember. The regular threads are working fine now though. It's only the stickies that are staying bold now.

me either. I find myself continually checking those threads because of the constant bold only to see the same final post as last time.

Yeah, I don't like the constant bolding of stickies either.

It's a pain to know whether there is a new post in them. It would be ok if they were just announcement threads, but that's not the case here with many of the forums just having normal threads as stickies to prevent reposts (i.e. like the 360, Wii and PS3 stickies in Video Game Talk).

OK. It's back to the way it was before I messed with it.
