Question about the 'Coming Soon' list...
http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/bargain.php
On average, how often does this list get updated? I just checked to make sure that South Park season 8 was being released next Tuesday, because that's where I first learned of the release months ago...8/29, no South Park. Checked out amazon, release date is still the 29th, what gives?

I'm not sure what's up with the list but South Park Season 8 does come out on the 29th.

I'd never looked at that list before, but from what I see now, it's very poorly done.
*edit*
Hmmm, there used to be a recommendation to use DavisDVD.com's release list right here. I didn't edit it out, so which mod did and why?

also, the coming soon list is based off of what will be reviewed by our reviewers. there are things that will come out that will not be listed there, but only because they're not being reviewed by dvdtalk.

It's the fact that it's based on Amazon.com that screws everything up. They have a tendency to add one title multiple times, so if I import the "wrong" South Park (I have no way of knowing at the time of import) and they deactivate the version I imported, it drops off the list. They also have a tendency to add titles like "Season 5" or "Live in Concert", without ever specifying the show or artist, and those can drop off my radar. They do often go back and revise the title, but I've been asked not to automatically update the Amazon titles in the event that this could overwrite changes made internally.

Daily, but just in the sense of importing new titles from the approval queue. I don't look at older entries.
