A general request to the 'internets'

PLEASE stop having banner ads or other funky things on your pages that have loud obnoxious sounds associated with them!

Case in point, a 'smilie' advertisement that I just got, while viewing a thread on here...it had an obnoxious smilie yelling "Helloooo??" at me... but I don't have speakers set up here at work, instead, I have just the little internal speaker that came with the computer...my computer is under my desk, so it sounds like a person is yelling "Hello...? " from under my desk...creeped me out!

Every page should have sounds turned OFF by default, PLEASE??

The sad thing is, the banners are there because they work.

Sure, it may only work on the 20% of people who are dumb enough to search for www.google on AOL, but it's mean to attract those people.

The best you can do is actually click on those banners, have Geoff get money, and move on.

Seeing as how this belongs in feedback, it's merge time, or at least move time.
