Forum slowdowns and outages this afternoon

Around 1 pm EST I couldn't access the forum for a while, then it came back up around 1:20, was working slow but ok. Then started haning and then went down again around 1:30 or so, before coming back up. I wasn't able to get a tracert during the slow period.

I ran one, but my ctrl-c of it didn't take and I had closed the window thus I lost it.

Go to start----> run

Type "command" and hit enter.

When the DOS prompt comes up type: "tracert www.dvdtalk.com"

Then right click and hit select all, then hit ctrl-c to copy, then paste it in a thread here.

Good to know.

For what it's worth without a trace, the main site was down in addition to the forum for me yesterday afternoon.

It's really slow again. My traceroute to forum.dvdtalk.com is still running... I don't want to paste it all in here, since it has a bunch of work IPs in it.

We've received reports that Cogent is having issues in general with their network.... We're not on Cogent so there's little we can do to deal with them..
