Are longer sig lengths allowed now?
Has the rule about a five line limit on sigs been revoked? I've noticed over the last few months that more and more members have outrageously long sig lengths. Out of a sense of not wanting to be a "tattle-tale" I haven't reported them, since they are quite obvious and can be seen right alongside posts from mods, whom I assumed would handle it.
The problem is that with the new multiple ads embedded in the thread combined with six, seven, or eight-line sigs, our post per page count is really dropping.
And yes, I know I can disable them in my User CP, but I do enjoy seeing them, not just so much of them.
Here are a few egregious examples (sorry guys):

http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...16&postcount=4
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...5&postcount=34
http://forum.dvdtalk.com/showpost.ph...9&postcount=20
...and many more

Actually, I think the rule is that it can't be longer than 7 lines. I think none of the people you linked violated that. Unless the rule was five lines... And that has to be with 1024x768 resolution with medium font size in IE.
They don't really bother me. I've seen on other forums where people put a whole 16 line poem in their sig or some obnoxious large image in their sig.

The rule is 5 lines.

ABSOLUTELY NO:
• Signature lengths greater than five (5) lines. As a courtesy to fellow users utilizing low screen resolutions and/or slow Internet connection speeds, those users who append signatures to their forum posts must keep the total length of their signature to a length of five lines or less.

OK, I checked it again. Brizz might have to get rid of the empty line to satisfy the five line limit.
But of course, some people argue that a blank line isn't really a line but we all know that's a lie.

We're too busy counting the lines in your sig to notice the avatar. You're tricky!

Yeah, well, you try rockin' a rhyme that's right on time, Mr. Smartypants..
Oh, and since we're commenting on sigs, how bout making a rule that if someone plans on posting more than once in a thread, they uncheck the "show your signature" box for every post after the first...
