Just a request, mind you. I know that only the select few have avatars at all... and I'm okay with that. But animated GIFs as avatars are really kind of distracting, IMO.

Only the Mods, Admins and Reviewers have avatars .. nobody is "the cream of the crop" .. Any of the three groups of people have permission to set their own avatar, just didn't pick an animated one.. There's nothing special about it except it's animated.. and becides, I think X is the only one with a animated one...

I think anybody who uses sarcasm without a smilie should be automatically barred from ever receiving an avatar.
