I'll take a guess that it's not a mistake, someone on the design team must not have enjoyed Flatliners.

Hah, the Fox series 24, with the 24 DVD coming out December 6, does have the main character's acotr's name, Keifer Sutherland, misspelled. As to why the 24 banner keeps appearing over and over in this 24 thread on the Fox TV serie 24 with Jack Bauer, I'm not sure. 24.

Google uses contextual advertising, meaning it tries to match ads with the content on a particular page. So if you visit a page that mentions certain keywords (like "24" or "Kiefer") and Google has a campaign that syncs with those, then it'll display the appropriate banners. Also, for clarification, this banner would have been made by Fox's agency, not by Google.

Hence my suggestion everyone put high-cost keywords in their signatures so we can all click-through $10 per click for Geoff.

Then there's bandwidth for avatars and...
