I have a fun little project going on in Other and it will have a lot of updates over an extended period of time. Here is the thread The Official Pig Mask of Other Thread . Someone suggested it should be sticky and I agree. If I slag off or something you can always take it away. I'm just asking to please give it a try.

I took the liberty of sending a message this morning to one of the mods asking for the sticky. No response all day, and it's obviously still not a sticky.

Hmmm... A bunch of Otters passing around a mask and taking lots of pictures. The fact that "it should be sticky" is what I'm most worried about.

I've asked for stickies on several occassions but no mod would sticky me.

You know, I thought about that too. I think everyone should make a pact that the mask comes nowhere near any unsavory food items, nor any person's own "nether regions". Considering the places it's going before it gets to me, I don't want to have to go to the doctor to get a cure for something like salmonella or "Iraqi night-life".

those freaks post so much, that they will end up keeping the thread near the top of the page anyways

I agree. If, as Bella says, this "project" is going to take years to complete do we really need it to be sticky? I think the whole idea is that threads that people are interested in will remain on the first page anyway. Stickies should be reserved for forum rules and reminders that would quickly fall off the first page but should be read by everyone and threads like the katrina donation thread. My $0.02.

I guess I will shamlessly bump the thread to the top when I update it....
