Explorer locking up after hitting submit

Seems the last couple of days I have had touble with my explorer window locking up after hitting submit. Of course forcing the window closed means loosing my reply.

Anyone else having problems. It seems to have just started recently and I have changed anything on my system. Possibly just the added activity going on?

Running XP

Yep, I've had this problem intermitently too. So have some others, see the forum slowness and the problem quoting threads here.

If you have time, you can just wait it out and it will eventually unfreeze and go through. Usuually 2 or 3 minutes for me. That way you don't lose your reply.

Oh, ok, sorry to start another thread. I saw the slowness thread but did not read it. My bad. So long as it has been discussed, I'm good!

Yeah this probably is a result of all the 'fun' we had yesterday kicking our server (think office space and the fax machine). Still working on the server issues and hope to have some relief to the issues soon.

Hey, no problem...you have just spoiled us with such a great site, it kind of sticks out when it is not going as smoothly as it usually does.

Oh and if it helps any, this afternoon seems a lot better then this morning or late yesterday. So far while there has been a slight delay or two, my system has not froze up at all this afternoon.

Good to hear. I've got my fingers crossed that all the work we did last night will help.

No problems here today either.

Though I don't think it was due to the "fun" you had yesterday as I'd been getting the lock ups on and off for over a week.

But hopefully that fixed the problem anyway.

I am having problems now. Quick reply seems to work for me, but if I quote someone, IE doesnt respond.

Looks like the lockup was a bug w/ this version of VB. Per advice of one of the VB guys I down reved the javascript file to the last rev. Clear out your cache and let me know if there are any other issues.

Then we did you a favor. Firefox is much much better than the current version of IE. I'm sure MSFT will play catchup, but for now Firefox is king.

Can we have one thread about browsers without someone shilling for Firefox?

I think that DVD Talks Founder can "shill" whatever he likes.

I highly doubt a shill would indicate that IE 7 is probably going to catch up w/ Firefox....

If you are speaking of me, I am no schill. I was having issues w/ IE 7 with tons of sites not loading properly or taking more time than normal. I downloaded Firefox and have been happy with it ever since.
