i find pornography offensive, and i think dvd talk.com has too much.

Seems to be the typical liberal approach to life

You honestly have to either accept what this site is or go somewhere else. The Internet is a big place, and there are probably other sites out there that discuss DVDs (or whatever) and also better reflect your personal sense of morality.
I accept Geoff's stance and just try to scroll past the adds fast, and learned to make sure to click on the page before using the scroll wheel so I don't accidentally have the drop down still highlighted and end up scrolling to the adult forum and unexpectedly have tits on my monitor.

It's a minor hassle, but the content in the forums here is second to none and I adapted as best I can to avoid having objectionable content come up on my screen while at work.

I don't know what I'm offended by more. The amount of questionable dvd covers that come up on those ads or the amount of shitty movies that come up on those ads.

I entered the words "christian talk forum" into Google in hopes of finding a suggestion for a suitable and safe place for hi mom to hang out.
Check out the last hit on page 1 of the results.

You're offended by porn. Fine. Go somewhere where there isn't any. How is this a difficult problem?

Don't encourage this "ban the porn on the front". It causes mass stupidity to young kids.
LAFAVE WOULD AGREE!

This can be at work on break, or at home with my kid in the room when I see a thread title I am interested in, and don't want porno DVD banner ads blaring across the page when it loads. For example, the fully clothed Heidi Klum thread is in other, but I could see someone putting it in Adult, as many fully-clothed celeb threads end there. At work I often turn off images to begin with.
But I'm not saying I want it changed. I just adapt my behavior.
But a "new posts except select forums" choice would be good.
I would exclude Adult and Exchange most times. The "New posts" search is just so tempting and easy to use there at the top of each page.

I am tired of subtle pornography in thread titles:

I'm offended by blatant rabbit abuse.
Poor bunny. Held up to ridicule and shame being made to wear pancakes on his little bunny head.

The adult section is very easy to avoid. You still have to choose to go there. Just because you don't like it, that doesn't mean it shouldn't exist.

Personally, I do not want to live in a Disney film. Life is R-rated. If you can't handle a little reality, go hide in the sand.
