anime boards?

I didn't find this request in a search, but perhaps I didn't look hard enough.

Is it possible to have a board dedicated to anime here at dvdtalk? I think there's enough content to warrant a board, but perhaps there isn't one here because there isn't enough interest.

Just kinda curious about its absense and the possiblity of its creation.

I know some anime fans can be very dedicated to their interest, but (well at least myself) I love anime as I love movie in general, and we already have place for that.

Well, anime could be used in Movie Talk (talking about the content), DVD Talk (talking about the release/specs), Music Talk (talking about the OST), and even Book Talk (talking about Manga). Why not just make it into one thread instead of dispersing it among all those others?

Hmm... is movie talk supposed to be the place where content is talked about? I thought it was just for recently released movies in theaters, and certainly with the exception of Miyazaki films and a few select others, there'd be little anime discussion there. Maybe a one and only thread in the DVD talk forum? There are certainly a lot of anime reviews here. Maybe in DVD Reviews and Recommendations?

Anime discussion seems to mainly be in the retail forum because the deals are all aggregated in one post and people ask for recomendations there.

As far as I can tell there's nothing to limit Movie Talk to new or even theatrical releases. Or maybe I just have the wrong impression of it.

Retail forum is out of the question since anything there that turns into a substantial discussion would have to be moved elsewhere....but where?

I think a "One and Only" thread would be a good compromise to this suggestion, though there's still the matter of where to put it.
