GeoffK 06-09-06 03:56 PM

I've told our hosting provider of the issue today

Josh H 06-09-06 06:45 PM

Seem to be back to normal now (7:45 pm).

GeoffK 06-10-06 12:17 AM

yup all is good.

FinkPish 06-13-06 05:48 PM

Anyone else having intermittent problems today? Long loads seems to come and go.

me too, off an on all day

crazyronin 06-13-06 07:10 PM

I've noticed some very slow page loading during the last fifteen minutes

Josh H 06-13-06 07:31 PM

Only gotten a couple slow downs, and they weren't terrible, 10 seconds or so.

crazyronin 06-13-06 07:32 PM

Really? I've had several 1 minute plus loads, although it is much better now.

Josh H 06-13-06 07:49 PM

I've not been on that much today, so I may have been lucky and just missed the bad hangs.

Josh H 06-23-06 11:03 AM

Getting all kinds of hands and even a couple time outs (lost a reply) the past 10 or 15 minutes (around noon EST).

Restarted the forum server, should have addressed today's issue

Josh H 06-23-06 01:28 PM

Thanks Geoff!

Mok 06-23-06 06:55 PM

I had a problem and couldn't not access the forum at all from 1pm-5pm, kept getting a message about the server being reset. Seems to be working fine now.

GeoffK 06-23-06 07:28 PM

yup, seemed to be an issue with the reboot and the web server for the forum. I'm talking to our host to see what happened

Mondo Kane 06-24-06 04:31 PM

Any other AOL'ers still having trouble getting in?

crazyronin 06-28-06 08:22 PM

Huge lag today at 5pm edst. I was on my wired connection, and the page took so long to load, I went away and came back later (ghod what a tortured sentence.)

GeoffK 06-28-06 08:47 PM

Please post a traceroute when you notice slowness

Kevin M. Dean 06-28-06 08:59 PM

Any time I've noticed delays (which usually happens for a minute or so practically every time I visit) the traceroutes usually look fine, which is probably an indicator that the database server is unable to handle the traffic at that time.

AGuyNamedMike 06-30-06 03:09 PM

Gahhh! 5 minutes of inaccessibility gave me the shakes just now.

crazyronin 09-15-06 08:26 PM

Forum very slow today, particularly at 9:21pm edst.

Is it my computer or has the forum been running very slowly today?

digitalfreaknyc 10-11-06 08:35 AM

It's been going on this morning as well.

LorenzoL 10-11-06 08:58 AM

I wasn't able to access dvdtalk.com from Monday morning until yesterday evening.

BTW, can somebody tell me how one go about in order to do a tracer route? Thanks in advance.

hold down the windows button and r (or click start, click run) and type "cmd"

then type tracert 69.41.253.19 (and/or)
tracert 66.7.164.226

remove the first 2-3 lines if you don't want people to know where you're from (sometimes you may need to remove more than 2-3 lines)

LorenzoL 10-11-06 09:28 AM

Thank you Tracer Bullet and pilot. One last silly question, how do I copy and paste the results or do I have to type it manually?

Right-click and "select all", then paste.

The Edit King 10-23-06 04:36 PM

Really s.....l.....o.....w..... for me today.

Anyone else experiencing this?

THEEK!

dx23 10-23-06 04:53 PM

Really slow this afternoon.

The Edit King 10-23-06 05:55 PM

Back to good ol' DVD (Turbo) Talk Speed on this end! &

-Pablito

AGuyNamedMike 10-24-06 07:04 AM

Yeah, it was grinding to a halt all day. I've stopped reporting it, though. No big woop, I come to DVDTalk for the content, not the efficiency of the server farm.

AGuyNamedMike 10-24-06 07:13 AM

BTW, still doing it this morning. 8:10 to 8:12 am Eastern, absolute standstill.

GeoffK 10-24-06 11:09 AM

Please post a trace route.

GeoffK 10-24-06 11:25 AM
