Sometimes (while editing a post) it'll take pretty near one entire minute (or more) to get back to the thread.

I'm having a similar problem when submitting replies or edits. It will hang for a minute or two (browser says "not responding") then it snaps out of it and the post goes through.

Not happening everytime, but have had it happen a handful of times each of the past few days.

I'm having the problem with replies/edits taking forever again. Seems to happen more in some threads than others.

Really seems like either a major database or server problem. Last time I noticed it was right before the server died.

Slowness is really bad today. Maybe we should just let Geoff know when the site is working correctly?

Sorry guys.. Still shrugging at WHY this is happening. We've got a TON of hardware powering this puppy and these spikes are STILL a mystery.

Could it be some kind of denial of service attack that doesn't quite succeed enough to shut the site down?

Could it be me hitting refresh 99 times a minute hoping that the page will finally load?

Geoff? Scrappy-Doo is just a cartoon. Puppy Power is not real.

Still happening to do. Both random slow loading and random replies taking forever to begin to go through. The freeze the broser for a couple of minutes, then it unfreezes and goes through in normal speed after that.

Anyone getting pages loading and loading trying to pull up ads? For the last few hours, I've noticed that, when I refresh, the browser keeps loading pretty much indefinitely and the status bar shows either:

"Transferring data from ads.klienman.com..."

-or-

"Transferring data from pagead2.googlesyndication.com..."

In both pages, the rest of the page loads and the ads seem to be there (or at least some are), but it just keeps loading and loading. It also seems to interrupt some of the page functionality (new link windows won't pop up and the message formatting tools don't respond when composing a message).

Or is it just me . . .

It's happening RIGHT NOW. (For me, anyways...)

Took me like one minute just to get to feedback, then another to post this.

Always seems to not work for me from 1:30-2 am Pacific. Other than that, everything is ok for me. But I'm hardly ever online earlier than noon, if that.

I just tried to edit a post, and it completely froze up on me. I left it, came back ten minutes later, and it was still frozen.

Any chance of these continuous problems getting fixed soon?

Just be patient for a few more months.

Go back to the first page...it's BEEN several months.

BTW...the new problem I'm having seems to revolve around quoting posts, since the edit I was trying to do was inserting a quote..

Yes I know. That's why I'm saying waiting a few more months won't hurt. Maybe because I'm getting used to it.

I hear ya. Unfortunately, there's no getting used to things that piss me off to no end.
