Disable <IMG> Tags in threads?

One of the options in the User CP is "Show Images (including attached images and images in [IMG] code)" which I have proudly unchecked because there are a plethora of members who can't think before they put pictures in threads. The only problem is, images in HTML IMG tags still show up.. is there a way to set the forum so that members with Show Images unchecked do not see HTML IMG embeds in threads? I know I can just turn images off in the browser but that ends up being more trouble than it's worth.

Yeah, that's a lot of trouble. The needs of the many outway the needs of the few, or the one, or somethin

(what's the real problem you want to solve? Don't wanna see any pics or you are on dial-up or what?)

I view/post from work (mostly), no pictures is lower profile, less attention if somebody walks by.. BUT the bigger problem is the content of pictures people post. The day so long ago I finally turned the option off somebody had posted a picture of some boys with their packages "accented" by tight, wet swimming shorts and another thread with a picture of a bleeding ass, neither picture relevant to the subject at hand (and one later removed by a mod). Let's not get into any thread where somebody mentions an actress.. just, wow.

Today's post was made because I went into the "Star Wars Babes" thread and popped on my screen where several pictures of some boring half-naked chicks (big surprise given the thread title, right?). If they had been put in the BBcode tags they'd have been converted to links.

I'm just seeing if, for people who have the option unchecked, to have the HTML images converted to links like the BBcode images.

That's why we ask people to link to pictures that may not be appropriate for everyone's workplace. In this case the thread title should have been a hint as well.

Uh, that was my thread. I didn't use HTML tags, just the regular [img] ones. If there's any way to fix that, I have no problem with it. Maybe the mods could also add a "Potentially NSFW" note in the thread title?

Sorry about that dude.

Kal-El, yours were fine, BassDude's used HTML tags.

X, it's not so much a work safe/not work safe issue, I even mentioned the thread title being an indication of its content.. I'd just rather not see ANY images which is why I unchecked the option in the User CP. But even with the option unchecked, those show up.
