Religion subforum?

Has there been talk of having a religion subforum? They seem to get rather lively and sometimes a great read once you wade through the muck.

If star wars could have it's own subforum, i don't see why not

If we started a sub-forum every time a discussion gets "lively", the forum would be nothing but sub-forums.

Perhaps we need a "Request for Sub-Forums" sub-forum?

Can we have a sub forum? I've noticed a lot of quiznos threads and subway threads.

We definitely need a religion forum to cleanse ourselves from the sins of the Adult and poker/gambling forums.

No way. Reiligious threads tend to get way to heated. No need to encourage more of them to be posted and just add more animosity between members that will carry over into other forum areas.

But this doesn't happen in the Politics forum? (serious question; I have not ventured in there myself)

You're missing the point. Besides, a sub-forum will allow religion haters to avoid Religious posts by staying the fuck out.

I don't want to have to go to a Religion Forum ghetto to get my man-God interactions.

Not really. The politics forum has been fairly civil from what I've seen.

The occasionaly religious thread is usually the most heated, as well as things like abortion.

But most of those hot button issues have been discussed to death by the regulars, so they don't come up too often from what I've seen.

You really think that will happen?

I stay away from most religious threads (just venture into the occasional seperation of church and state issues threads) but a lot of the other haters love to piss you guys off.

Right. And a religion thread without the atheists popping in to claim that God doesn't exist would only be about 6 posts long.

You must have missed the "my flavor of Christianity is better than yours" threads.

Bad idea. If we did this, it would probably be tougher to convert these heathen bastards.
