Romance Genre Request
I'm a fan of romance. It's difficult if not downright impossible to do a search for a romance and I'm respectfully requesting that catagory be added to the search AND that the reviews start reflecting what genre a movie is.... knowing full well that many movies are not that easy to pigeon-hole, something is better than nothing. The ideal way would be on the list of new DVD reviews, but if that's not feasible, then at least at the very top of the review form. Many times romance is glumped under Drama and sometimes under Comedy, but there are scads of movies under both that are not my idea of romantic!
I also like movies with a beginning, a middle and an end, preferably a happily-ever-after end, but boy howdy that's not easy to find either which is why I tend to crawl out from under my hiding rock from time to time to share my thoughts on 'a good 'un'.....
Let me take this opportunity to say how great I think all the reviews and the reviewers on DVD Talk are and that this is my favorite place to read whenever I need something DVD-ish!

Adding it isn't a big deal, but getting reviewers to backfill all their old reviews to use it might be.

Back that truck up over here, dear...
Oh, my, I never thought the folks would/could go back and change their stuff... I was just thinking of the future reviews..... I mean there almost 12k of them, right? And what? maybe 30 are hardcore romance?
Although, if it was up to me, I'd probably move all the anime too and put it in it's own list. I guess it's just as well it's not up to me, huh?
See it's the female thing....we just gotta move the furniture around.... we look upon it as improving the immediate environment ......

Gee, I also noticed that Ginger has been a member longer than anyone else in the thread to this point...nearly 6 years. Wow!

Yep, right after I graduated from grammar school, I joined this site.... oh, no, wait, it was junior high that came next.... well suffice to say I have been around here awhile. I've managed to accumulate a nice assortment of DVDs too and wasn't it fun chasing down the internet bargains way back when.... ah, thems were the glory days.... (thanks entirely to you, my great friend HoustonDon!)....
In fact, I go so far back that not only did I have and used 8-tracks and VHS, but I ran a bulletin board on my Commodore 64 for 10 years! Way back then we used oatmeal-box computers linked together with masking tape and bailing wire and went a blazing 1200 baud and thought we were high steppin'! We had our own lingo too.... things like 'd00d' and 'warez' and 'crack' was illegal then too, but it had nothing to do with chemicals.... oh but don't get me started, us old f*rts can go on and on .....
I can't wait to see what the future will bring (I mean techno-wise, not the advent of Depends and mobility scooters!)....
