So when did we start advertising bootlegs?
In one of Turborob's cult TV playoff threads, there is a huge ad for the Six Million Dollar Man on DVD. Well, since the show is only out on disc in the UK, these are bootlegs (and expensive bootlegs, too)

if it was a google ad (which it probably was)..I don't think they check to see if it's a legitimate business or not..I've seen those "$30 backup software" links on amazon's pages..but I'm sure Geoff can do something maybe...as I type this the banner above is for "Springsteen live bootlegs" ...

Mind you, isn't it partly to do with the terminology? I've seen products listed as 'official bootlegs' (which seem to be a little contractory). Bob Dylan even has a series of bootlegs available at Amazon.
