Oldboy Thread in International Forum Closed?

Hi,

The Oldboy UE thread in the International Forum was closed.

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthread.php?t=380994

There have been major issues with the release (damage during shipping), and the thread became a central location for consumers to resolve the issues with the retailers and manufacturer. The issues have not been fully resolved, and there will much followup on the topic as the manufacturer's deadline for replacement requests nears (12/20/2004) and the replacements are shipped (1/2005).

Would the moderator consider deleting the offending posts, warning the offending posters personally, or use some similar means to allow the thread to continue? Many thread contributors are being punished for the actions of a few (or of one; it's hard to tell exactly what within the thread was found offensive). The thread can be restarted, as Benedict suggests, but it will require a lengthy restatement of the background on the UE and its issues, and send people searching through the older thread for info on what's been said and done thus far.

Thanks for your consideration...
