Too many stickies in DVD Bargain Forum

I realized today that I scroll half a screen to get to NEW threads in the DVD Bargain forum. There are a total of 10 stickies in this forum. Is there a way we could consolidate the Amazon and Digital Eyes Coupons? With respect to the Anime, TWEC, $6 Bargain I don't understand why they need to be stickied. These threads would jump to the top once there is new info.

Just an idea to make navigation easier.

Another agree. Especially since we've been talking about "clutter" in there.

Why do we need coupon stickies anyway, when we have a button at the top of the screen for store coupons? If it's new, cool, post it, but don't sticky it...

I agree too. Too much scrolling down to get to the 'meat-and-potatoes'.

I do agree with this one. Currently 10 threads.

Everyone seems to want to be a mod and quotes the rule of "Best Price theads aren't allowed" in questionable threads, so that one could be killed.

If it is final, then add it to the forum rules and be done. (Especially since it is locked down. Leave it open for replies and I would bet you get overwhelming response to revoke this, but that is for another day.)

I understand the highlighting of bargain threads that help DVDTalk and I support those.

Bottom line (mandatory, IMO not worth shit) for Bargain forum, if the thread is a bargain/important/"members care", it will stay near the top, no need for all of the stickies. (also applies to the "best of" discussion)

Agreed....

Come on..Lets have a limit of say 4 at the most.
The darn game forum is more organized
than the dvd forum at the moment.

I believe that this thread should be moved to the DVD Bargain forum as a stickey to let people know that something is being done about the stickies.

8 as of 11/15/04

How about combining the coupons &
rentals and whatever until after the holiday
season.

Plus the DDD coupon does not need a sticky.
It will on the 1st page for a long while.

Sickys now are about 15 percent of the 1st page
posts. Not to mention the pop-ups.

I'd personally like to see the ~$6 Bargain DVD's Thread (in-store and online) thread back as a sticky. It is easily the most valuable resource on the DVD bargains board IMO.

I would too, but being that the original thread creator isn't updating it, it just becomes pages and pages of people posting what they've found (and sometimes duplicates), or stuff that's already been posted in the original first post...it's popular enough that it's generally on the first page everyday, so a sticky really isn't necessary..
