Affiliate links

I miss having them on top of every page so I can quickly access them (not that I can't bookmark them). Is the change permanent?

Oooh... I missed that. That needs to stand out more. (Great idea, though.)

too bad we cant do like FW and make it it auto replace specific words with affiliate links

such as.. when i type amazon over there.. it automatically changes the word to a link with their affiliate info included..

not sure how much extra server strain that would cause.. but i would think the ends would more than justify the means.

Wow, I completely missed that also.

Thanks.

I do miss being able to quickly copy and paste DVDTalk's affiliate link whenever I type a store and think this makes it more "difficult" to do so. Also, the drop down box removes ones ability to open the link in another window.

Agreed. That doesn't suck in any way.

Not to mention so much of the time links there don't load due to the "bounce" URL they tack on so you have to copy, paste, and edit URLs to get somewhere.

In regards to affiliate links...

One thing I like about the DigitalBits is their up coming cover art. I think the cover art is eye catching and when you click the cover it takes you to the affiliate link. Much better than just a list of links that take you to the affiliate.

How about something like that here? Would folks be opposed to me running a sticky thread of the same type? Or do we have too many comming soon threads already?
