are these types of bashing posts allowed?

http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...hreadid=378108

this isn't the first time discussion threads such as this have turned into group bashing threads.

are posts such as jackskeleton's and turd ferguson's allowed?

actually, the thread title could be considered bashing. unless randyc changed it to that. then it's funny.

Look, if you're going to post here, you need to develop a sense of humor.

I believe the correct collective noun would be adiposse.

You're insinuating that cranky doesn't have a sense of humor?

The man's wearing no pants, what more could you ask for?

I see no problem with them, unless I missed where they cross into personal attacks against members here.

Bashing of groups of people and/or celebrities or people in news articles has pretty much always been allowed with some exceptions like racist comments, bashing religions etc.

You can always demand for an apology. I heard that works.

yeah, if that was over the line then it seems like the thread in question is too (unless the rainbow thread was closed because of the use of a certain word, in which case that post probably would have just been editted)

everyone who's anyone knows that the pantless one has a great sense of humor

it's fine by me then. people that hide behind any sort of organization are fair game imo.

just wanted to make sure derogatory (well...as derogatory as 8 graders can be) names were ok before i started my thread about people who shoots themselves with low powered air guns on purpose.

Well?
closed for length?

mods gotta make up their minds.. one minute Im hearing to stop making new parts because the software can now handle large threads.. and the next, the threads are being closed for lenght, while still relatively small

It pretty much was. Could it have been edited? Sure. But by doing so we would have been hiding the offense instead of directly addressing it.

It was closed for length at the request of the member who started the thread... not because a moderator decided it was too long.

I think you meant iconic because Tarantino don't see no irony there, muchacho!
