I don't remember ever getting pop-up's here at DVDTalk. Just tonight, I noticed the DeepDiscountDVD pop-ups.

Just wondering if this is going to be a permanent thing or not?

Don't get me wrong, if this is what needs to be done to support the forum, I'm all for it, just want to know if I'll be expecting it for years to come

I believe there's been popups for quite sometime. I think there was a thread in here a while back about them.

Ahh, I think I have figured out why I probably never saw them before:

I usually get here via an e-mail saying someone has replied to a subscribed thread. If I get here that way, no pop-ups occur.

On the other hand, If I go there via my bookmark, or manually, the pop-up occurs.

The mystery has been solved, I'll try and find that other thread.
