Perhaps the solution is that if a member is offended by someone who "fixes" there post, they should just e-mail a mod/report the post, and ask the mod to tell the other member to please not "fix" his posts in the future.
I don't imagine enough people are bothered by "fixed" posts to make any set rule on it, and that would allow sensitive members a way to have it addressed to some degree at least.
