this closing was BS
I normaly don't complain when a thread of mine was closed but this is a lame excuse
thread in question might as well close all threads with controversial topics, and I thoguh this forum was open, sadly it's getting to be a lot like HTF
X please reopen it, if it gets out of hand then close it and I won't object but to just close it is wrong
Let's just save everyone a lot of trouble.

I disagree. I could post any sort of topic to bring up controversial topics without any reason and likewise, they should be closed. These days, with everyone being able to post anything they like on the net, it doesn't mean that everything is a discussion topic.
Should I just be able to post a domain with a ?

How do those serve any purpose? (I just made them up, but you can see the problem with just letting things like that stay open)...

He's using hsi judgement that the thread has disaster all over it. By closing he's saving himself and other mods a lot of trouble and keeping tempers from flaring.
I think it was an entirely appropriate decision.

Would there have been a lot of people posting "yeah I think I agree with that sentiment?" I don't see that happening. And if people do post that, well you know who they are for any future arguments.

Closed in one minute. That's pretty damn fast. But in some respects I have to agree with the closing.
I have long made the arguement that there has to be rules/laws or quite basically a "line in the sand" when it comes to controversial subjects. Your topic was like a train. His responce was like a few spikes missing from the tracks. Sure, something bad might not have happened, but it's likely that it would have.

This thread closing was a complete and utter crock. Once again, the mods here display their blatant partisanship and --
What? The thread was titled Jesus is Hitler? Oops, sorry. I thought it was about Bush. Well, carry on.

This is just a stupid internet joke. And, worst of all, it isn't even funny.
The closing makes sense to me. 1. The link is going to offend many. 2. Your post didn't really open the door up for any meaningful discussion... you just posted the link with a rolleyes smilie.
Where could the thread have possibly gone from there?
