If we sent an e-mail to every person who started a thread that was merged, moved, or edited, it would double our workload. Searching for your post, as you did, seems to work fine.

I think he meant a "form e-Mail," implying that it would be automatically generated on a moderator action, not unlike getting an email when someone replies to a subscribed thread.

I understand why my post was merged with an already established one about the same subject, but I'm disappointed that it's so buried there. It was, I feel, my best post yet and I was anxious to see what reactions it might generate. Where it is now, few people will even see it, let alone respond to it.
