I know cheapassgamer uses it now. Basically it allows them to send people subscribed to the list IM's with the latest news. I think it would be a cool feature, you could do it for just when the front page is updated, or even when new reviews are posted.

That's really cool but I'm ticked it won't work with Trillian. I haven't used the separate chat programs for a long time but this might tempt me to go back to them.

I don't use Trillian.. but I would guess all you need to do is send this IM "subscribe http://www.dvdtalk.com" to blogchangebot. This is just guessing from what that link does in AIM.

in order for the link to work with Trillian, you have to download the url:im plugin.

I must of download that plugin some time ago because it worked. I'm thankful I don't have to go back to the other programs.
