how do I insert a pic into my message
I am trying to insert a pic by using the "IMG" button in the post new thread option. It starts off with "http://" and when I insert the web page with the pic I get the "x" and no pic is displayed. Also how do I insert a pic from my hard drive? thanks.

Unless your hard drive is a server connected to the Internet, you can't post pictures here directly from it.
First, your picture has to be viewable upon the Internet. This means it has to be hosted, either by an image hosting service, or by uploading it to some other space on the web.
Whereever it is, it has to allow you to hot link to forums/newsgroups like this.
The image also has to be in the .jpg or .gif image formats, or they won't display.
Finally, just put your image's html address between the img tags and that should do it.

To post pics from your harddrive:
1. Upload the pic from www.theforumisdown.com
2. They will give you a URL for the pic, copy and paste it into your message using the [IMG] tags.
It's that simple!
Your pic needs to be <50k I believe.
