Unfortunately, I'll have to pass for now. I'm on an extremely tight budget, and I also have a policy/principle of not paying for web site access. I try to help out by clicking the occasional ad, and using the affiliate links (though I rarely order anything online anymore).

18 views and only 4 votes. Come on people, quit lurking and take the 2 seconds to vote.

It would likely be helpful for Geoff to get at least some idea of what percentage of people are going to opt for each option.

Hard to vote without an official pricing structure. Have I missed the announcement?

I'm thinking the lifetime will probably be equal to about 2 years of memebership. Something like 30/yr 60/lifetime

I remember that post, but I wasn't sure if that's what the end result is actually going to be. I can vote under that assumption, though.

Fine. You're a loser for getting a lifetime membership.

Of course, that'd make me a loser, too. Doesn't quite rule it out. Sorry.

If that's the case, lifetime sounds good to me.

none for me. I dont see an added advantage to membership since the ads don't bother me much. I'll support the site through affiliate links.

None should be broken down to be more specific:

_ None, because I'm a cheapskate
X None, because it's too expensive for what you get

The prices aren't set in stone, nor is what you get when you join, so the "too expensive for what you get" option isn't feasible at the moment.

I have only been following the issue vaguely, but there really isn't enough info for me to answer. I don't know what it costs or what I'd get for it. I know, no ads, but anything else?

That all depends on the pricing structure.

but if people are voting for annual or lifetime based on the assumed pricing structure.. than i think it would be safe to include that option

The way i figure it, i have been around for four years now, it is highly likely i will be around for another two (to make the 2x annual membership worth while..) And who knows what will happen in ten years..

I voted no, only because (especially for the expected price of $30 for an annual membership), the features Geoff has been saying will most likely be included with the membership don't appeal to me. No ads isn't worth $30 to me, because I'm on a high-speed connection so ads don't slow the forum down for me.

I voted Annual for now. Hate to not live long enough to get my moneys worth. Plus I don't want to committ to coming back for the rest of my life.

Is forehead-shitting and fisting included in the membership benefits?!?

I'd pay a buck a month. No more.
