There seems to be a serious problem with these "ads" in the video game forum. This happened with the last one too.

Yep same as the last couple ads, the Video Game forum gets dumped on, why not the book forum? I've seen it every time I have come into DVDTalk today 3 times at work, and twice at home all right after I have hit the link to go to the Video Game forum, or as soon as I hit a thread there.

Seems like it's more prevalent in the video game forum. That's the only place I see it.

Still, this ad is no big deal. It's small, and mostly unobtrusive. Bad is the Final Destination 2 ad.

The video game forum has a custom template which is slightly different that the other areas of the forum, this enables us to run things there to test them out. So it's nothing personal to the Video Game Forum, it's just how things are set up.

Also we figure the video game talkers are more likely to have the more up to date set up to deal with rich media ads.

Hmm, if you mean blocking them, I thought that was against rules.. and if it's not against the rules and there's something I can do to get rid of it, let me know. I do not have a more "up to date" set up to deal with these and the ad is OUT OF CONTROL in the video game forum, which is probably my 2nd most visited forum.

I got it twice yesterday and only once today, and I frequent the video game forum more than any other.

I get it everytime I go to the VG forum or open a thread in the VG forum.

Seen it at least 12 times today already.

I've seen in a few times. It's not as bad as the Fear Dot Com ad way back and certainly not as horrible as the Final Destination 2 abomination.

I am getting this ad nearly everytime I move into or out of a thread. Very annoying. I understand you guys need cash to survive, but how many times must I see this ad?

By the way, using Windows 2000, with the latest explorer.

Today,
in the VG forum I get the pop-up everytime I would enter or exit a thread.

It wasn't doing this before, last week it would only pop-up when I first entered.

XP, IE 6

Hopefully I won't jinx myself again, but I've only gotten the AD once so far today, including in the Video Game forum.

Yep, the ad seems to be going ape sht. I've removed it from the video game forum and I've contacted the ad serving company to resolve the issues asap.

What does Type-O blood have to do with it?

Not to change the subject....but my Jack Handy-like quote of the day today has been...

It would be terrible if the Red Cross Bloodmobile got into an accident. No, wait. That would be good because if anyone needed it, the blood would be right there.
