How Can Someone Listed as BANNED Still Post?

Maybe I'm imagining things... but I swear that I have seen several threads lately where I glance over to the left at the user name and see that the user is listed as BANNED.

I'm not going to name names, although I could if you want me to; there is at least one long-time member who I swear has been banned since before I got here that was posting the other night. Hey, I don't know the reason why they got banned, and to be honest, I don't really care to know -- I'm more curious than anything, and I am starting to mistrust my own eyes.

Can somebody whose title says they are banned continue to post?

They were banned after they posted their messages.

No, in this case, in one of the newer threads, I recognized one of the member names as someone I had seen BANNED before. Or I thought that I did. Maybe it was from a thread that had been ressurected.

Or maybe I'm wrong. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me.

Did you look at the date of THEIR post, or did you assume since the thread was on the front page their post was very recent?

It's kind of like that Sixth Sense thing where they don't know they're banned yet. Just give them a little more time.

You're not the only one who can see their posts, are you?

OK, I must have been imaging things, because now I can't find the thread where I saw this person post. I swear I saw him post something this month.

(This member has been banned for at least a year -- as a point of reference, he was took his name from a character on Seinfeld. And when I did a search for all posts by this user, it showed that he has not posted since June of 2002.)

Maybe I have been posting a bit too much on the forum... I think I may need to cut back...

I miss the cooler, smarter "ncmojo". He's lost his edge since he went all caps lock on us.

You think that's difficult? Try posting when you're "mininuts".

@ thread title change

Bandoman, if they ban you, then I will quit the forum as a sign of solidarity. One for all and all for one, brother! They ban one of us -- they ban all of us!

[OnlyModsAndAdminsCanSee] You know I'm just kidding, right? That Bandoman guy got what he had coming. Frankly, it's about time. Good riddance. Ha! [/OnlyModsAndAdminsCanSee]

Disregard that last post since I'm now refusing to post until Bandoman is banned.

Alright, how in the hell am I supposed to post that I refuse to post without posting that I refuse to post, which requires me to post, thus negating my refusal to post until Bandoman is banned?

Answer me that Mr. Smarty Mods.
