STL pages inaccessible?

When I go to http://www.dvdtalk.com/stl/, it just redirects me back to the home page.

Is this intentional? If not, please fix the problem. Thanks!

I'm obviously familiar with the Share the Love forum. Are you saying that the STL database has been eliminated and we're to only use the forum? If so, that's lame. The database, despite all of it's problems, was (is?) far superior to the forum.

The STL system was involved in a SERIOUS hacker attack on the site today so we've taken the system down for a while to see what we can do to make it less open to attack.

Probably will be down till the end of the month.

Thanks, Geoff. Your efforts to improve the STL system are much appreciated. I hope you can get it back online soon.

If you need some assistance in this area, I might be able to help. I am a Web/CGI/Perl programmer with 8 years of professional experience doing Web and database development. Feel free to e-mail me for references or whatever.

You can't possibly convince me that it's easier to copy and paste 50 e-mail addresses from 50 separate postings in some three-page thread than it is to the use the STL database system.

I agree with Ed -- the database system is so much easier to use! The cut and paste is a cinch, and frankly, I won't go searching through the STL thread to try to gather e-mail addresses unless I have a lot of time on my hands!

Geoffrey, greatly appreciate all your work to fix the STL database system.

www.dvdtalk.com/stl goes to forumid=36 instead of large database with dropdown list

When I visit http://www.dvdtalk.com/stl/ it doesn't take me to the huge database list with the dropdown selection. Instead it takes me to http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/forumdi...?s=&forumid=36

It has been doing this for at least a few days.

Also mentioned in http://www.dvdtalk.com/forum/showthr...5&pagenumber=2

Um, yeah, it's been like that for nearly two weeks.

But this does remind me to ask Geoff when it's coming back? He said the end of the month above here and we're getting awfully close to the end of the month.

I am trying to use some love that someone shared with me...but every time I click the link on Amazon, the price onyl reflects the regular price and no Love discount.

What gives? Any suggestions?
