T3 forum request

Due to the complex story, and so we can have all threads related to t3 or terminator in general, lets give it its own forum and kill the matrix reloaded forum.

You saw my post over in this thread and three minutes later decided to rush over here and immediately steal my idea:

well, actually, it was part that (not stealing, just as a suggestion, and I didn't want to see the entire main movie forum turn into the t3 forum.

I'd like a Bad Boys 2 forum, please.

The From Justin To Kelly forum was a huge success and I think it's time for more.

Its a nice idea, but I don't think there will be that many threads on it - more people should be able to understand the movie plus there will be fewer "Awful" threads. Why? Because its going to be great!

PS- I think its time to close the Matrix forum.

I closed the Matrix forum. I'm only really planning to open movie talk sub forums for movies which are 'EVENT' films ie:

The Matrix Revolutions
Lord of The Rings: The Return of The King
Star Wars Episode III

Due to time, we might have 2 sub forums at once with revolutions coming out in nov and rotk coming in dec.

plz add 2 Fast 2 Furious and Legally Blonde 2 to your list. I mean, can you think of anything bigger than those movies?

Out of curiosity, when you close the event film forums, are those threads still searchable, or are they gone like Keyser Soze?

Posted by Geoff in the closing of the Matrix forum thread:
I merged all the threads back into movie talk.
So my guess is they become part of the Movie forum and remain searchable (provided it's at least 4 letters long ).

Just saw it. I didn't think there was anything particularly complex about it. Failry mediocre, though.

I would think that 12 years between sequels would merit EVENT status. I fully expected T3 to suck just like the next guy, but was shocked to discover that it is the opposite of suck.

My expectations going into Matrix Reloaded were high, and I was a bit disappointed. My expectations going into T3 were very very low, and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Maybe T3 lacked the hype it takes to be considered an EVENT. I'd visit a Legally Blonde 2 or Bad Boys 2 forum more than an Ep3 or LOTR one.

Well, technically speaking, an "event" designation is less a recognition of the quality of the movie, and more a recognition of the likely high traffic that it will generate. I don't get the sense that T3 or most of the other summer films will generate so much traffic that they'll overwhelm the Movie Talk forum.

Then again, I don't spend as much time there as I used to either.

Then again, it's not really up to me anyway!

What we need in the movie forum is a sub-forum for POLLS!! There are entirely too many polls in the movie forum. If anything is overwhelming that forum at the moment it is polls. Count the threads in the last week related to T3 vs those for polls and you will see what I mean.
