Why are threads moved???

I started a thread on most/least favorite retail stores to buy DVDs. I noticed that it was been moved by a moderator. Now you can't tell if anyone has recently replied or viewed it. I thought it was a very good thread. It generated a lot of interesting and helpful responses. What is the purpose of moving it like that? I see no reason.

It was a conversation about Stores, therefore it belonged in the "Store Forum" Look for it there. Probably best to email a Mod or ask in the Feedback Forum next time.

Moving to Store Forum...

because it was a thread that belonged somewhere else. Please red the F.A.Q and try to put your threads in the forum sections they belong in.

this thread will be closed. if you want to question moderator choices do it in the feedback forum..

Oh, I see. I didn't realize by "Move," that it literally meant to be "Moved" to another forum. I just assumed the thread was relegated to a lower spot on the page. I'm new at this, so excuse my naiveness. Thanks for the info.

I think most moderators (well, at least me) would prefer if people asked questions via e-mail, and not on the board.

It's because the idiot moderators enjoy moving posts (I dunno why this made 10 posts before a reference to that.)
