Comedy forum?

Wish there was a comedy forum? The other forum barely fulfills that role anymore.

If one is made, I propose that Topbunk and Rocky_Stallone be co-moderators.

It would just be too difficult trying to figure out what belonged in there and what didn't. For instance, this thread.

Do you have some sort of low threshold for laughter? The thread itself isn't particularly funny.

When people reminisce about how great the mighty Other Forum was "back in the day," exactly what time frame are they talking about? What, if any, specific event signaled its gradual decline?

In other (otter?) words, When did the Other Forum "jump the shark"?

Moving to the Incredibly Unoriginal Joke Forum.

Edit: Question still stands, though. While I'll acknowledge the existence of a faction that maintains any "shark-jumping" can be traced back to mid-Feb. of '01, I hafta believe other Others would have different dates in mind.

Does anyone long for a return to the days when "Congrats for reaching 79 posts" was a legit thread topic?

Are there any former members - and I guess you can't say much if they were [BANNED] - who have proven irreplaceable?

Can somebody link a thread or two that demonstrates "See, THIS is what the Other Forum's glory days were like!"

Not trying to start a fight; just curious.

A comedy forum?

I don't think I've seen anything funny at dvdtalk in a number of years.

How about a Java-based "Ebb-n'-Flow-O-Meter" that sits right below the forum name?

That sounds like a great idea... can a dancing banana be holding it up?

I'm not sure I'm getting your point, could you try to be cuter about it?

Obviously you've never visited the book forum. We get pretty wild in there. Heck, one time someone made a joke about the word 'onomatopoeia'!!
