can someone create an mp3 faq or a dictionary of terms?

The main reason is since I am a complete dumb ass at this, and have I think 3 or 4 threads kind of dedicated to trying to get me to understand this stuff, like what does kbps mean and why can't I put an MPEG file on a cd-r ect. (don't directly anwser those questions, but just make a thread discussing all of the necessary terms to mp3's and make it a sticky in either the music forum or the computer forum.

Have you tried looking at www.vcdhelp.com ? Ooh... apparently, it now redirects to www.dvdrhelp.com, but it looks like the content of the site is the same.

Gotcha. When you mentioned MPEG files, it sounded like you were trying to burn movie files to a CD.
