IMO I don't necessarily think the amount of wrestling threads here warrant it. There's usually just two. The Raw thread and the Smackdown! thread.
Every now and then you might get a PPV thread but that's about it.
Then again, I don't know what technicalities are involved with creating a sub-forum...

My thoughts are the same now as then: I just don't think there's enough diversity of topics to warrant a separate forum. If we went that route, we'd need forums for many individual sports that all get more discussion that wrestling.

Wow. The sports forum isn't even a year old yet...? And the wrestling threads were in the single digits then too?

I don't think their is enough interest in it to devote a forum to it itself.
The threads in the sports forum should be enough for now.

Depending on how narrow your definition, over half the stuff we talk about in Sports Talk isn't "sport." Whether you classify it as "Sports Talk" or "TV Talk" it still doesn't warrant a separate forum.

Sports became the default because it doesn't belong anywhere else.
TV Forum was the only contender, but since only 2 of the approx 8 live arena shows a week are on TV, it's definitely more than a TV show.
75% of people who want to discuss a match they saw live will be talking about a NON-televised event.

I'm sure enough people would post on the board if it was started. Besides does it costs money to start the new board? If it does, I'm willing to donate money.

Wrestling's also across different forums, TV, sports, other, videogame talk, everywhere. As much as some people want to talk wrestling, there is a LARGE fan base out there.

This is far more specific than I ever imagine the forums here will ever be.
It's not a question of interest. An Action Movie subforum would probably do just fine too. But I don't think we want forums that get that specific here because where do you drop the line. Pretty soon we'll have as many forums as Usenet (ok, a slight exaggeration
), and I don't think that's where Geoff wants to take DVDTalk.

please get the wrestling threads out of sports talk. or make a one and only wrestling thread. it has overrun the forum. do we really need six threads about it on the first page alone? it's not a sport, it is entertainment and needs to go. i'm talking about PRO wrestling here. it has no business in a sports forum.
