I see a bunch of new icons on random threads now. Hoe do they get there? Is it defaulted when posting a thread or is it some admin/mod handy work? Some examples:

They link the icons from another site.

Actually, if you right-click on the yellow icons and look at their Properties, you'll see that they're from Kleinman.com. I saw them in the new Two Towers forum... not anywhere else, though. Looks like Geoff is redecorating.

Only place I've seen them is in new LOTR subforum. Have you seen them elsewhere? If not, maybe they're just default icons and geoff hasn't got that forum tweaked yet?

So maybe they are just subform specific, but I don't recall seeing them during the days of the Star Wars subforum of even during the inception of the Mature and Sports forum. I don't recal but was there a software update from the days of the Star Wars forum until now?

Those are the canned smilies from Vbulletin and you have to replace them with your own if you want something different. I understand at some level when you create subforums of forums, that they do not inherit the properties of the parent forums, but I still thought that the smilie settings were global for all the forums.

Could be a glitch in the forum matrix.

So then the column that they appear in has always been there and I am just now seeing it?

Oh! It would have all made sense if I had actually gone and looked at the forum. Which I now did. And no, that is a setting that I think Geoff in his haste accidently left at the default setting of allowing post icons. I toggled it off.

It still has the ranking stars column that probably needs toggled off.

Can we toggle it back on? How much more bandwidth would it eat up? I have $1.87 in my paypal I can donate if it helps...
