Request for a LOTR:Two Towers forum

I figured since the latest Star Wars got one for a limited period of time, it would be reasonable to request one for LOTR this time around as well.

Rogue588 12-16-02 03:18 PM

Sorry Doc.

If we didn't get a Hot Chick forum, we sure as hell ain't gettin a LOTR forum.

:p

Jepthah 12-16-02 04:57 PM

Yeah, I reckon we'll need one to keep the forum nice and tidy. :)

GuessWho 12-16-02 05:00 PM

discuss STORY in BOOK forum
(it IS a BOOK's story you're discussing...)

discuss FILM attributes in MOVIE forum
(acting, sets, sp fx)

there! half the traffic in each :)

Josh H 12-16-02 05:00 PM

Definitely be a good idea. TTT will generate at least as much discussion as Episode II.

Plus the Episode II forum worked great. It kept the star wars haters from bitching about all the threads, and let the fans discuss until their hearts content without dealing with lame "one and only threads" that have pretty much ruined a lot of topics here for me.

Jackskeleton 12-16-02 05:21 PM

I doubt we really need one. Much like all the "new" movies there will be a slew of questions about it at first, ebb and flow as randy says. ;)

Robert 12-16-02 06:00 PM

We should just do what the HTF does, consolidate the entire discussion to one huge thread. They have a single 155 page thread for Episode 2.

The Antipodean 12-16-02 06:19 PM

I ain't readin' no 155-page threads! I can just re-read LOTR if I want that much readin'. ;)

Kal-El 12-16-02 06:22 PM

I'm for it. I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions to ask the Tolkien experts after watching it even though I finished TTT a couple of months ago.

thats sick. especially when the server crashed out here at a certain length, I don't think we want to tempt faith again. Right randy? ;)

BobSoup 12-16-02 08:16 PM

Instead of just a two towers forum how about a LOTR forum.

Get Me Coffee 12-16-02 09:09 PM

Star Wars is just better.

hehe joking with ya

Jeez, are any mods reading this thread? There's LOTR threads popping up all over the place in this forum!

3 x $0 is still $0. ;)

Actually, if it isn't hard to set up, a separate forum for a few weeks wouldn't be a bad idea.

oh - almost missed it.... if I may be so bold - moving all the current threads into there would help ("where are all the LOTR threads????") with a pinned/closed item saying "look up a little further, stupid..."
