No, not the pop-up, the flash banner.
That thing is damn annoying!

I tend to ignore banners unless they have nude women on them

by the way. I am ok with things like this since they help keep dvdtalk alive

Half of the pop-ups load fine. The other half take upwards of a minute to load, during which time my browser is frozen (can't scroll or push the IE buttons). This is the same reason I had to stop reading at EZboard.
Is anyone else having this problem? Any work-arounds? I know this is supposed to stop on 10/23, but for future referecnce, this may be helpful, especially if Geoff has to do this again in the future.

wintel machine.
Whether this will work if your computer is locked up with a loading window I don't know. But it is worth a try.

The only catch is that the window doesnt appear while its loading. It locks up the computer, then after a minute, loads normally.

It's for my parents who are stuck in the stone age. I just got them the other day how to open a digital photo I sent them.Add that to the fact that everytime I ask an AT&T bastard "When can I get Cable modem or DSL?" they either laugh, or say "In like, 2 years" doesn't help either. At work I am in heaven with DSL, home I am in hell.
Go dance with Brett Farve the injury boy!
