Can I opt out of these pop-up ads? This is very frustrating that everytime I go to DVDTalk I get them.

And yes, I use Adaware -- the ads are definitely from DVDTalk! They're the same as the banner ad at the top.

Yesterday I received the Guys Magazine Bundle (Maxim, FHM, etc.)

I believe both of them were pop-under. Is this normal? Can I shut them off?

Yes it's normal, and sorry, but no, you can't turn them off.

Please read the thread Geoff linked in his reply to you. It explains our recent addition of pop unders to our ad server...in short, the site costs too much money to maintain without doing this, they are only set to come up once every 12 hours if you have cookies enabled, and pop unders aren't as bad as pop ups.
