Right Click Function

Has the "Right click function" been disabled? I haven't been able to use it on this site lately and it's making it difficult to compose some of my threads.

I am using IE5.5 and the right-click works fine.

I am thinking this particular glitch may be down to your own software/set-up and, if so, the question might be better placed in the "Computer Forum"....

.... people there will probably ask:-

a) what browser/OS are you using?
b) what happens if you also hold down the Control key when left-clicking on a link?
c) are you getting the same problem on other sites?
d) when did you last clear your cache?
e) when did you last re-boot?
f) when did you last re-install?

That is not to say that any of this will solve the problem, though!

Right-click on a link (or left-click while holding down the Control key) and you can open the link in a new window.

For <B>Wizdar</B>'s benefit, in IE6.x, I'm pretty sure the default is SHIFT-Left Click to open in a new window.

Also, the right-click (in IE) will allow you to quickly access countless functions on images, links, frames, pages, selected text, etc.

My very own "stupid day"!

<b>das Monkey</b>, you're not wrong!

The irony is that before (twice) typing those bon mots I actually tested the function and it worked. But I was, in fact, holding down the Shift key and not the Control.

I <i>said</i> this should be in the Computer Forum!!!! I'd have got it right then
