Thank god for cache...

ORIGINAL POST SELF-CENSORED FOR THE FAINT OF HEART

And I personally don't care if someone's opinion isn't technically supposed to be in "this forum" or "that thread" on this or that day because it is against some broadly defined rule someone created 4 seconds ago that is definitely subjective and potentially so full of holes (as demonstrated by the nay-sayers in this thread--the ones who didn't get banned or deleted) that he or she has to continually patch it up with appendices. Let me know when the appendix gets up to rule #234,000,000,000.

whatever happened to ideas like freedom of speech and democracy? This thread has nothing to do with DVDs, less to do with opinions and more to do with following orders.

I wanna hear about your ideas about "threadcrapping" like I wanna read the regulations of the FCC (which should only regulate broadcast frequencies as was originally intended, but instead regulates content).

Threads complaining about threadcrapping are like threadcrapping to the 2nd power or threadcrapping's second cousin (I was gonna say threadcrapping’s red-headed step-child, but wasn’t sure if that made sense). At least "such-n-such DVD or director sucks" is a statement about DVDs and movies (albeit sometimes a shallow one). Your federali-esk statement here doesn't even have anything to do with the subject matter of this site. Well sir, I say, isn't that crappy? I came here looking for info on DVDs and the first thing I see is this crap.

And now I'm complaining about you complaining so that's like crap to the third power. It’s getting thick in here. SEE I EVEN COMPLAIN ABOUT MYSELF HERE GUY SO EASE DOWN.

Give me a break. DVDTalk isn't the hallmark of the good ole All-American wholesomeness and political correctness. They got a big-ass AdultDVDTalk section for the gobs of DVD porn for god's sake (REMOVED THUMBS UP TO PORN REFERENCE - COULD BE DEEMED OFFENSIVE).

REMOVED PHRASE "HALL MONITOR". COULD POSSIBLY BE DEEMED OFFENSIVE. Nothing more boorish than arguing about something as important as someone's self-defined idiosyncratic (THIS DOESN'T MEAN I'M CALLING YOU AN IDIOT - PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE, IT'S A DIFFERENT WORD) rules of an internet bulletin board...don't you have more important or interesting things to drone on about? Is your ego so easily bruised just because someone comes in and says the movie you or someone else has just fallen in love with blows REMOVED COMMENT CONCERNING POSSIBLE BEASTIALITY. Not me. They come in on my thread and call my movie crap, I say “wow what an idiot” and move on with my life…I sure hope this threadcrap thing becomes a big rule because we all know you can legislate morality and that taste isn’t subjective…

so it all boils down to "nothing that isn't on topic to the appropriate thread" shall be allowed? and what is and isn't "on topic" shall be entirely defined and re-defined at will by the mody-come-lately of the hour. if we extrapolate this idea, you might as well close down this entire site because as far as I can tell, there are off-topic posts ad infinitum and why not take down the whole damn internet while you're at it because the internet certainly isn't a marketplace of free-association and ideas right?

Oh ya, and what about specific off-topic and/or whatever you perceive to be crappy comments made inside of a generally on-topic post? what are you going to do? go around to each and ever post and edit out every single remark you don't think is pertinent or that you just don't like at that particular moment. If it brings joy to your life go ahead and go for it. I’m going to go now and do something I think is more important, like have [REMOVED SEXUAL REFERENCE] with a woman.

Sorry for going on so long folks. stuff like this really brings out the Marxist in me.

God Bless America (except Florida) (stole that last bit from Michael Moore).

WE DON'T ALLOW POSTS WE DON'T AGREE WITH WHETHER OR NOT THEY HAVE ANY MERIT. WE JUST DELETE THEM. YOU DELETED THE POST BECAUSE IT CHALLENGED YOU OUT ON SEVERAL POINTS YOU MAY HAVE WEAK DEFENSES ON.

Once you deleted my post, it didn't take very long for someone else to disagree with you concerning my post itself. Shows how SUBJECTIVE this whole thing is.

Let me add an obligatory smile-wink to add ambiguity to my post. Am I serious or just kidding? Apparently if you add these things you are allowed to say anything you want...

This thread is unnecessary to me...but I wouldn't ban it or delete it just because I disagree with it (unlike you).

Oh look. Personal attacks against a moderator. Someone who says he doesn't want to follow the forum rules.

And after having your first post removed by a moderator, you decided to repost it and add even more insults.

Go thread crap somewhere else.
