I'm not a prude at all, and welcome scantily-clad women more than anything, but perhaps some of these ads I've seen at the bottom of threads/pages in "Other" would best be limited to the "Mature" section -- since I'm willing to bet a majority of people post from work, and some of these ads make me feel like I'm visiting a porn site.

An example is this one I just found. [Nevermind, I just followed the link and saw it wasn't the same ad.]

There may not be anything that can be done about this, but it's a legitimate concern of mine.

I think Geoff should do whatever is best for his site, but I think it would be fair if the sexual content in advertising policy was explicit.

Also, keep track of when it happens (include time zone) as I believe the ads get a little racier after hours.

But for the record, the ads I saw were probably between 2-4 in number today, anywhere from 11am to 4pm.

Although it's not naughty really, I'm surprised the Tart review comes up so much! It's dragged through the mud on review and DVDTalk doesn't recommend it at all. I'd think Geoff would want to promote reviews of better-known more prominant movies or something? Then again I know jack about marketing But seriously, if older cool movies already reviewed showed up instead of "Tart" every other time, I'd be tempted to click on them sometimes.

I think just right clicking and getting the link should be sufficient.

I ask for time and time zone because one of the past (not sure about the current) ad servers couldn't do dynamic time zones (ie. it could be set to only show racier ads during certain hours based on a single time zone).

Actually your comment was the insparation for changing the way we do the new review box Now it's a completely random display from the 50 most recent DVD Reviews. Now you won't see one over and over and over again and it means you'll get to see reviews that you would have otherwise missed the old way we were doing it.

It's to Geoff's credit that DVDTalk provides a forum for all titles ... not just the so-called mainstream ones.
