Question: if you use quick reply, are you not subscribed to the thread?

Or has there been a change to email notifications?

No changes. The quick reply window uses the defaults of the reply button.

If you're saying that it's like using the reply button, I've not found that to be the case.

But then, it seems that there have been no email notifications (for me, at least) for a coupla days.

I'm SO lonely :(

Edited to add: OK. It's back on (assuming it was ever off to begin with). [Wizdar leaves the obvious straight line intact...]

Email notification is OFF by default when you use quick reply
