I've been having problems doing searches. It seems that the search function doesn't retrieve all possible matches.

For example, I wanted to retrieve the "2002 Rank them as you see them thread" in Movie Talk. I wasn't sure if this was the right name for the thread, so I just typed in "2002" for the search.

It brought up some threads with "2002" in the title, but not the one I wanted.

I finally found the thread by browsing page by page.

I seem to have this problem frequently- the search function doesn't seem to get all the threads/posts.

Any suggestions?

The following is in the FAQ thread at the top of this forum under searching:I'd suggest doing a search on *2002 or *2002* and see if it gives you the result you were looking for.

when i read the faq, i only skimmed over the part that said finding DVD will not retrieve DVDs... so i missed the "*" bit.
